PC-lab rules and regulations

In order to maintain a pleasant working environment in the PC-lab, a number of rules have been drawn up that all users must abide by. If you break these rules, you will face penalties that might lead to restricting your PC lab privileges.

  1. The general rules of the EUR for the use of computer and network facilities of the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) are also applicable in L-building.

  2. You must be able to show your student ID card if a PC-lab assistant asks to see it.

  3. Follow the instructions and directions of the PC-lab assistant.

  4. Anyone behaving improperly will be denied access to the PC-lab facilities.

  5. Students should leave the PC-Lab on their own before closing time of the PC-Lab.

  6. The username and password are strictly personal and not transferable. You must not reveal your password to anyone else. If a PC-lab assistant finds out that you have allowed someone else to use your account, then the account will be blocked immediately.

  7. Eating, drinking, or smoking is prohibited in the PC-lab. Food and drink must be kept out of sight.

  8. You are not allowed to use a mobile phone in the PC-lab.

  9. Talking should be kept to a minimum so as not to disturb other users. No talking is allowed in the quiet rooms 3 and 4.

  10. Chairs must not be taken in or out of the room because of the fire regulations.

  11. You are not allowed to logon to more than one PC at a time.

  12. Log off when you have finished using the computer and turn it off correctly (Start, Shutdown).

  13. Anyone committing a criminal offence will be reported to the police.
