| Professor Dr Ellen Hey is Head of the Department of Public International Law. She has lectured at academic institutions in the Netherlands and abroad, including Canada, Argentina, China, Ethiopia, Indonesia, the United States and countries in Europe. She has worked for Dutch Ministries, NGO’s and international organizations, including the EU, IMO, FAO, UNDP, UNEP, the UNECE and the World Bank. Ellen grew up in the Netherlands, Egypt and Venezuela and holds law degrees from Utrecht University and a Master of Science from the University of Wales. Ellen Hey’s research interests include international institutional law and international natural resources law. Together with Professor Daniel Bodansky (University of Georgia) and Professor Brunnée (University of Toronto), she edited the Oxford Handbook of International Environmental Law (Oxford University Press, 2007). She is the Editor in Chief of Erasmus Law Review and an Editor of the Netherlands Yearbook of International Law. |
