Visa

Short procedure

Only when you are accepted as a student and in case you applied for a degree programme, after payment of the tuition fee, the international office at Erasmus School of Law will initiate the short procedure for those students who come from visa required countries. Below you will find the documents we need you to return to our postal address so we can apply for your visa.

The deadline for submission of visa documents:

Exchange students starting  in September

15 June

Exchange students starting in January

1 November

LL.M. students

15 June

EMLE students first term

15 July

EMLE students third term

15 January

All documents should be translated into English, French or German by a certified translator. If any of the documents are missing or we receive them after the deadline, we will NOT be able to initiate the short procedure! However if we are able to use the short procedure for you we are confident you will be able to come to Rotterdam in time, in contrast to a regular visa application which can take up to 6 months! Please note that if you have been to the Netherlands in the past, a new visa application (even through the short procedure) will take longer! When your visa is issued, the Dutch embassy in your country will inform you about collecting it.
