Sanders Qualification 2011
At the beginning of 2011 the next standard round of granting the Sanders Qualification label shall take place. This applies to all staff members on a doctoral level (target date: 31 December 2010) who are involved in research. The assessment is based on the research output (and of course its quality) during the period between 1 January 2008 and 31 December 2010. Your available research time during this period will be taken into account.
Once you have submitted your research output for registration and processing, it will be available for inspection on the employee information page of the FRG website: frg.sin-online.nl/staff. In order to enable us to assess the correct information, it is very important that you register any missing academic publications well in time.
In order to establish your research output over the years 2009 and 2010, you will need to pay careful attention to the following information. The 2008 information from the previous SK round will obviously be included.
You may register academic publications from 2010 and registrations/amendments of academic publications from 2009 up until 2 November 2010. Academic publications from the months of November and December 2010 must be registered before 7 January 2011.
For registering your publication(s), by means of the publication form, please use the following e-mail address: onderzoek-frg@law.eur.nl.
Registering late or not at all could lead to a negative outcome. This is because the decision taken will be based on incomplete information.
The reference period is the regular 40% research time of the appointment. Many factors can affect this percentage. In December you will receive an overview of your research period, as it appears in the school's official records, in order to enable us to assess the correct research period. Afterwards, you are given the opportunity – until 7 January 2011 – to notify the school office which personal circumstances must be taken into account in determining your available research time. The departmental board shall aim at announcing its decision regarding the Sanders Qualification before 1 April 2011.
More information about the Sanders Qualification 2011, the procedure and deadlines can be found on (only in Dutch at the moment): http://www.esl.eur.nl/onderzoek/sanderskwalificatie/sanderskwalificatie_ronde_2011.
At this moment the decision about the awarding of the Sanders Qualification has been moved until the end of May 2011 (letter).
